I made my new attempt at making a Legacy family on The Sims 2. It started good. Amilia Tolbert is the first person in this legacy family.



She started out decent. I can't really say it was spectacular since she only had a bed and a tree on her piece of land. She had to go to the sports park to eat and shower as well as meet friends. She was on a roll with her job and eventually got promoted after doing the crossword puzzles in the newspaper for a week straight. She was working for the Investigation career line (I don't remember the name). She brought home John Mole. Amilia fancied him and he liked her.

They eventually got engaged and married and things were looking up! He turned out to be wealthier than he lead on bringing $54,000 into the house!

While doing renovations on the shack that she had the game crashed. I didn't save it and there went their marriage, relationship, and money coming in!

Restarted the game to find out it was only 2 sim days in. Made a couple bad choices in the career field and Amilia no longer had a job. Boy was she depressed. No husband, no job, all she had was a bed and a computer that she got as a gift which she could do nothing with. She couldn't even afford a desk!

Eventually a position opened up in the Military career. Not what she wanted to do but hey it's pretty good money in the beginning. It was only until she could get back on her feet and build on to her shack:



She tried to get another love interest and getting pregnant in the meantime with his child. Unfortunately for her she did not know that he was already married and after a long talk he did not want to leave his wife. So now she was stuck alone, in a shack and pregnant. Amilia was getting desperate so she spent all her money to get a blind date. They didn't get along well though and she ended up going into labor during the date!



Her new daughter, Alexandrina Tolbert, was gorgeous but still will never know her father. This upset Amilia and so the search continued. She had met a friend of Alexandrina's father while they were dating. She called him up and they hit it off real well. Tired of the men around her age she was ready for a change and went for older.

He is retired and not the wealthiest but he treats Alexandrina like his own daughter and so they got married. Hey, now they have a bedroom!



So now the question: How long will their marriage last since he is so old? Will Alexandrina not knowing her father affect her life growing up? We'll have to wait to see.

Last time when I left off with The Tolberts, Alexandrina had just been born and Luis had moved in. I have to correct a mistake in that last post though. Luis is not married to Amilia, they are just living together. Luis is too old to marry he feels and it is killing Amilia but she works with what she can.



Although there is quite the age gap between Luis and Amilia they still love each other very much. Luis still has quite the life in him as well! Here they are cuddling in bed and Amilia is pregnant with her second child. This one Luis actually fathered.



Some time had passed and Amilia awoke out of bed to find that she was in labor! Her old friend from her failed blind date came out of nowhere to witness the birth of the new baby. You may remember that Amilia gave birth to Alexandrina in the middle of their date. Why is he always around during the births?



Little Leila Tolbert was welcomed into the family. She had her mothers eyes and brown hair. A precious bundle of joy! My how they grow up quickly though! It's Leila's birthday already! With Alexandrina sleeping in the background, Luis and Amilia throw a tiny party for Leila to welcome her into toddlerhood.

One day after Leila has her birthday it was time for Alexandrina to have her own. Here goes another celebration!



A tender moment between Luis and Alexandrina. See how I said he treats her as his own? Then again, this is the only father she knows. I haven't seen her real father in ages.



A little bit of time has now passed. Amilia became pregnant yet again! I told you Luis still had a lot of life left in him! She went into labor (blind date failure wasn't there this time surprisingly enough) and gave birth to twins! Welcome Pearce and Jocelyn Tolbert.



In the meantime Leila grew into a child and this is when her and Alexandrina would truly bond as sisters. But who will be heir to the Tolbert Legacy? How will Amilia pick between her four children?

Only time will tell...

Last time we left off with The Tolberts, Alexandrina and Leila were discussing who would become the heir of The Tolbert family. This is a tough decision for Amilia to make. So, let's find out what's been going on lately.



Trying to get the kids into private school and showing the headmaster a good time by giving him some of Amilia's turkey dinner. They got in by the way!



It's time for Alexandrina's birthday! She's still in her school uniform but that's ok! Welcome to the teenage years!



Here she is already flaunting her stuff.



Amilia wasn't very happy after Alexandrina grew up. Soon her baby will leave her.



Don't forget about little Pearce and Jocelyn though! It's their birthday time now too. A lot of birthday's during the week!



A little dinner with the headmaster to get Pearce and Jocelyn into private school. Of course they passed with flying colors. Just as we suspected.



Home work time! All four children get time to do the homework with Mom and Dad helping the twins. Gotta keep up with the homework in order to stay in this prestigious private school!



One day Alexandrina came home from school and caught her mother and father in law on the couch making out. Hey, they gotta get some loving in sometime. She didn't like what she saw. In fact, every time Luis was around she would get all sad and start crying just because that's not her father! It was time she grew up and move out!




Bye Alexandrina! You won't be the heir to the Tolbert Legacy but I am sure your life will be full of surprises when it continues!

So..Alexandrina has moved on with her life, leaving her family legacy behind. Who will be the heir?

In the next part..there will be money, death, and the new heir revealed!

Like I said before in this part there is death, money, and the announcement of the newest heir! Let's get cracking!



It is with a heavy heart that I say Luis passed on. He led a great life! He lived to be 108 years old and died with hula dancers and a tropical drink to greet him.



So long Luis..although you are gone I am sure that this will not be the last of you we see.



Even though Luis is now gone..he left quite a good inheritance to everyone. Poor Amilia got the shaft though with only 320 simoleons left to her. The kids were the ones that need it the most.



With the inheritance that Laila received she bought herself a ballerina pole to practice her moves on. She sure was happy. Look at the huge grin!



Poor Amilia is taking Luis's death hard. She wasn't able to marry him like she wanted due to his old age (I think that's what it was..although I didn't know that affected it...). Amilia was so lonely that she made a new friend..Mr. Moppie.



Suddenly Laila grew into a beautiful teenager! "Hmm, she does have the bone structure to make a good heir."



Wanting to help out around the house Laila went to the computer to find a good job. She ended up finding someone online to talk to.



Amilia had other things in mind. Still mourning the loss of Luis..she went out with a man called Alvin. She ended up falling hard for him and decided that he was the one for her. He would be the one she wished to marry.



Marry indeed! They eloped! Welcome to the family Alvin!



Laila was maturing quickly and got her first love. A boy that's name escapes me right now.



She sure did fancy him though. Look at her looking at him longingly. A relationship built for heir status indeed.



Alvin and Amilia had so much in common. They loved fixing up cars and finally raised enough money to buy this fixer upper and do it up well. They've spent days on it fixing it up.



The days spent fixing up the car was sure fun but wore Amilia out. She is now an elder! Not a spring chicken anymore! She ages beautifully though.



Ahh...here is Luis. I knew we would see him sooner or later. Looks like he isn't very happy that the toilet got replaced!




Time for the twins birthday! Pearce and Jocelyn grew up so fast!




Both turned into gorgeous teens. This picking an heir business just gets harder for Amilia!



Pearce thought that Willow Kody was the one for him. Until...



Cherry came home with Jocelyn and stole Pearce's heart. She's gorgeous, isn't she?



The two hit it off instantly.



Time passed and Amilia was enjoying the hidden places that she was able to get memberships for. Here she is trying her hand at pottery.



Here is Amilia was talking to Jocelyn about being the heir. Jocelyn was telling her Mom that she would be a great heir.

"I know dear." Amilia said to her. "It's just...your sisters both had no interest in it and went off to do their own things, live their own lives. I've made up my mind."



That's right..Jocelyn is now leaving. Amilia decided that she had bigger things to do than stick around and take care of her elderly mother and step-father.



Say hello to the new heir of The Tolbert Family, Pearce Tolbert.

Part 5

Last time I left off the heir to the Tolbert family had been picked and it was Pearce. Pearce was ready to do the family proud and quickly married his childhood sweetheart, Cherry.


Pearce and Cherry had great news to tell Alvin and Amilia. Cherry did the honors over some dessert. They were expecting!!


Amilia and Alvin were so happy to hear the news! It made Amilia think of when she was younger. She went to look at her portrait of those days and it made her sick with all the grief that she had gone through.


She quickly got over it as her and Alvin discussed their retirement plans over strawberry pancakes.


Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. As Cherry was going to the bathroom for the millionth time she saw that something was happening.


Alvin did not want to accept that it was his time. He even fought a bit with death.


Realizing that there was no use in fighting it, Alvin passed on.


Amilia was heartbroken. She's lost two people that she has really loved.


Time slowly passed while everyone began to heal from the loss of Alvin. Cherry began to grow bigger by the day. While waiting for the birth of their child she brushed up on some piano lessons.


One night Cherry jumped out of bed! It was time! The baby was coming!


While in labor, it's always nice to see your husband making the bed! Amilia looks worried!


Uh oh! Cherry and Pearce got hit with the twin gene! It makes sense after all Pearce is a twin!

Welcome Evalyn and Caleb!

Now, this one is going to be a long one. I have a lot of catching up to do compared to where my game is. Last time, the twins Caleb and Evalyn were welcomed into the family!

Time flies and it is time for Caleb and Evalyn to grow into toddlers! First is Caleb with the help of Cherry!

The boring potty training time! They made it though, which is a good thing.


One day the Gypsy lady dropped off a magic lamp for The Tolberts! I've never had this happen! Right away Pearce asked for wealth and got 10k! Score!


It's that time again! Birthday time! I didn't have many toddler pictures of them. That's okay though..there wasn't much. Potty training, learning to walk..all that fun stuff.


Caleb turned out to be a spitting image of Pearce when he was that age. Brings back memories!

Quite gorgeous I think. These twins definitely got the cute genes!


Meanwhile, Amilia is still alive and doing well. She works on her novels a lot. She's written 3 of them! She maxed out her enthusiasm for writing and arts! She's in the zone here!


Look at that fancy plaque they give you for maxing a hobby! Sweet!


A tender moment. Cherry is tucking Caleb into bed...her bed. Those kids love sleeping in their parents bed!


Amilia wanted to spend a little time with her grandkids so she made them her famous lasagna!


And for some reason, Cherry thought it would be an awesome idea to make breakfast in the bathroom. The bathroom she's in is upstairs and the kitchen counters were clear so I don't know what the heck she was thinking!


It's that sad time. Time for Amilia to pass on. There's the Grim Reaper coming for her.


The Grim Reaper is explaining things to her. It's time to move on, Amilia! Too bad Evalyn has to be there to witness it.


The Grim Reaper finally gets through to Amilia. She realizes that there is nothing left for her here.


She's even got a little attitude when faced with death! That's a girl, Amilia!!


A little bribe never hurt anyone right?


I don't think this is something that Evalyn should be watching. Look how upset she is! Poor girl! This will be traumatizing.


Amilia is now going with The Grim Reaper.


R.I.P. Amilia Tolbert. Founder of the Tolbert legacy. You will be missed! At least you have a platnum grave.

Fun fact: This is my first ever platnum grave!


Pearce really took the news of his mother's death hard. Poor guy. They were so close.


Well, life moves on. Time to get those kids into private school just like Amilia wanted! Of course they got in!


Birthday time for Caleb! "Hmm, I'll wish for a..."


Caleb grew up nice looking. Unfortunately, I didn't want a sim that looked similar to Pearce!


It's Evalyn's turn to grow up!


They always give them such ugly clothes! She's not too bad though! Cute twins!


Make over time for Caleb! Much better!


Evalyn can't be left out! She gets a makeover too!

Well, as we left off before the twins Caleb and Evalyn had grown into teenagers and gotten new makeovers.


After their makeovers, Caleb and Evalyn play a nice game of Punch U-Punch Me. Caleb hits too hard!



Since they are no longer children it was time to redecorate their rooms. Here is Evalyn's room. Can you guess her favorite color?

After school one day Evalyn brought home a friend. I'm not sure what story Evalyn was telling but it looks like is surprised the heck out of her friend!


Quickly Evalyn began to enjoy music and will Smustle anywhere and everywhere. I loved her face after she messed up the steps. I'm sure she'll get it someday.


Since Evalyn is a Family Sim she wanted to get the ball rolling and meet someone. Pearce and Cherry won't let Evalyn go out so she called on the Matchmaker!


Here is who she sent. I don't remember his name but they did hit it off quite well.


Evalyn snuck out and into a nightclub one night. She was doing her beloved dance, The Smustle. Concentrating hard! "Don't mess up, don't mess up."


You know how they say the freaks come out at night? Well, the witches come out at night in The Sims. Evalyn ran into one and thought it would be fun to make friends with her. She got a bit too friendly because now she is a witch herself!


The transformation is complete!


Time to get flying outta here! Home, Broom!


Meanwhile, Pearce and Cherry have another little bundle on the way. Here's Pearce talking to the baby.


Amilia decided to pay a visit to check on her family. I thought this was a cute picture.


Uh oh! It's that time again! And what do you know? He's making the bed...again. Some people panic during labor..other people make beds.


A little irritated at Pearce not being there for another labor, Cherry nurses the new baby. Welcome Chantelle to the family!


Time moves fast and it is already time for Chantelle to grow up into a toddler.



Here she is. I have to remember to take that hair out of the game, it's gross looking.

Things are going good for Evalyn and her relationship. Here she is having her first kiss as well.

Say hello to Idella Tolbert. The newest member of the family. 4 kids and only one boy. Go figure!


Right after Cherry gave birth, her and Pearce shared a little smooch.


Evalyn is chatting it up with one of Caleb's friends from school. Her expressions are hilarious sometimes.


Birthday time for the twins. Unfortunately, someone didn't tell Evalyn about the acne cream in the medicine cabinet!


Idella grew up that night too. No birthday cake because I didn't even notice until it happened!

More birthdays! Pearce and Cherry enter elderhood! They aged pretty well.


While Pearce and Chantelle were enjoying a nice game of catch when Alvin came out to scare Pearce!


That didn't stop them from having a fun time.

When Caleb and Evalyn moved out Pearce was pretty sad about it. He went and laid on Evalyn's bed and recalled all of the good times that they had.



The next morning Cherry and Pearce talked about the remaining children and how they were not getting any younger. So much to be done!



Idella has to learn how to use the potty on her own!



Birthday time! Chantelle is growing into a teenager!



Chantelle sure has the cocky attitude down already. My how they grow fast.



Chantelle had her eyes on this boy (I don't remember his name, sorry!) for awhile. She's in her room (was Evalyn's) romancing him.



The romancing has working! She went in for her very first kiss and got it! Ahh, young love.



It is time for Idella to grow up into a child!

Idella is such a Mommy's girl! She missed Cherry so much she ran out to give her a hug when Cherry got home from work.

Cherry and Pearce have a new hobby! Building a train and town to go with it. Here they are working on it together.



Chantelle keeps on growing. It's her birthday now! She is going to be an adult! Oh the fun! Bills, careers, babies!

Now with Chantelle gone, Idella is the obvious heir! Sometimes I like to go for the last born. Here it is time to get her into Private School. No trying involved! This was the quickest I've had a sim accepted! More than half the points came from the house tour! The food was the other. No schmoozing! I love it!



Cherry and Pearce are having a tender moment at the dinner table. Life is running out for them. They're so cute!
