Title Styling: If you can title your post in the form of "GUIDE: Game: Action the Guide Describes" - that'd be swell. For example "GUIDE: MapleStory: Playing MapleStory with a Controller". If the guide suits multiple games, feel free to omit the game title (or pick the most common one, and express in the post the other games it'll work for, for the benefit of searches). You can also feel free to omit the word "GUIDE", though it might slow down a moderator from spotting your guide and moving it to the guides forum - we mostly just put that in there as a legacy thing from our old threads which were stickies in a game-specific forum.
Clear and Concise: You absolutely must use paragraph breaks, and ideally you should make use of bullets and numbered points where they're appropriate.
Screenshots Help: A picture says a thousand words! We don't recommend putting images on our site, but rather going and getting an account with Photobucket or ImageShack and putting your images there.
We'll try and have the moderators edit and clean up posts where possible, but the less work we have to do the better.
